Lowering the age teenagers get a driving licence:
The aim of this report is to consider the advantages and disadvantages of lowering, maintaining or increasing the age of getting a driving licence. There are some countries like Spain, where you can get a license when you are eighteen; or countries like the USA, where you can get a licence when you are just sixteen.
There are many reasons to lower the age at which you can get a licence. Nowadays, teenagers want to go outside at night earlier and come back home later. It would be a good reason to get a licence. Furthermore, teenagers have friends out from their born city, and parents spend all day driving their sons and daughtersfrom one place to another. Last but not least, it’s safer to drive a car than a motorbike.
However, not all the things are advantages. Firstly, teenagers are really unconscious and they do not respect traffic signals. Moreover, they want to drive really at high speeds on the road. Likewise, they suffer a lot of accidents and the car insurances for them are more expensive.
To sum up, there is equality between the advantages and disadvantages of decreasing the age to get a driving licence. As far as I am concerned, I think the government should maintain the law about getting a driving licence when people are eighteen.
